5 things I am grateful for:

1. Our ward choir. They sounded lovely today, and more than that, they are a handful of wonderful folks who try hard to be good every day. And they love to sing. They make me smile every Sunday.

2. Ice cream: Haagen-Dazs Baileys Irish Cream. I may be sorry later, but right now I'm grateful.

3. My children. They make me smile every day.

4. Sam. The depth of my admiration for that man surpasses words.

5. My car is fixed, Hooray!

Poetry:

My new found passion.

I am so grateful for beautiful words- words that when read, ring truth in my heart like a bell.

Like this 19th century Chippewa poem:

Sometimes I go about pitying myself
and all the time
I am being carried on great winds across the sky.

This was written on my heart the second I read it. It's so true. And I hope it will help me get through my next blue funk more quickly. Because I WILL have one (a blue funk), that's just how I am sometimes.

I feel like I'm going through a kind of awakening, and it is blissful.

I am so thankful:

1. For family -birthday parties, reunions, cousins....so fun.
2. For my bed. (I need it).
3. For the chance to start fresh and do better tomorrow (should I happen to be blessed with another day).
4. For children who forgive and forget so quickly.
5. For Sam putting up with my moodiness so well.
